"Alright, I'll bite. Why're you staring at me?"

It's a question that comes after noticing the girl staring at him for at least ten minutes now. She isn't as subtle as she thinks she is, looking away obviously every time he tries to catch her stare. So he had to ask, because little kids staring at him is about the most annoying and weird thing ever.

She looks like a deer caught in the headlights. "I-- uhh..." She stammers, looking around as if she's debating on running. "Run and I'll catch you, so don't even try," he states firmly. "Come on now, what the hell's the problem? I got something on my face or something?"

The girl just shakes her head. "No! And that's the problem. But I'm not supposed to talk to you about it!"

Bro squints at her from behind his shades. "I'll give you money if you tell me."

"Deal." She holds her hand out.

Bro reaches into his pocket and stuffs a wad of cash in her hand, not even caring how much it actually is. Probably a few thousand P. "Alright, now spill."

"Well see," she starts, putting the money in the little purse she brought with her. "I was talking to Miss Valeria and she said she banged you hard!" Bro's eyes go fucking wide behind his shades and his mouth hangs open. "And so I was looking for bruises!"

What the actual fuck.

"She said she banged you really, really hard against the wall, and that you deserved it!" she continues, "Did it hurt?"

Bro doesn't even know what the actual fuck to say to this. "...No?"

"Ugh," the girl says, shaking her head. "She must've did it wrong."

And with that, she just walks away. And Bro has no fucking idea what just happened.

Having taken a moment to try and get her vivid recollection of her one, passionate night with Bro Strider out of her head, Valeria also has no fucking idea what just happened. It doesn't help that she didn't see anything, having taken said moment in the powder room as opposed to trying to collect herself anywhere. A splash of cold water is what she had needed. That, and a moment to... well, pout. It's not like Bro had said anything about it. Hell, he shouldn't have. That made things easier on her, didn't it? Or it should have. Would have if she hadn't allowed that line to be crossed to begin with. It's really getting to her if she's talking to her ten-year old about it so far after the fact, but then, that's not surprising. This... crush, it's completely and utterly out of control. If she's honest with herself, she's not entirely sure it's just a crush anymore and that, that scares her. More than she cares to admit, it scares her because it was hard enough to handle when it was just a few hundred butterflies in her stomach. Now?

Now, she doesn't want to think about it. Doesn't want to, doesn't need to. This isn't the time or place and she needs to put it out of her head and leave it there, try to keep emotions under wraps and... well, it's easy enough to avoid Bro here without trying. There are plenty of places to go and plenty of people to meet and talk with, not to mention the library, the gallery, the trophy room, and the unexplored area outside.

Right. Okay.

Breathing, Valeria exits the powder, dress skirts flowing behind her as she walks. A little fresh air would do her some good, so it's to the outdoor garden that she heads with some speed, mindful of her heels and the care she needs to take in them. Vaguely, she wonders where Emily has gotten off to, but expects she's likely fine and more than capable of finding her if she needs t -- ah. Ah, yes, that sure is some fresh air she's breathing in now, intent upon making a bee-line for her place off to one side and well away from the others. A little more time away might do her some good. Keeping that expert smile up is taxing, after a while, after all.
